New and Upcoming Events
Several upcoming events and shows have been added to the schedule. In particular...
-Capoeira Resistência will be featured on the Richmond Channel 6 News on Tuesday, April 24th.
-Our spring fundraising event will be held at The Nile restaurant on the evening of May 12th.
-The 1st anniversary celebrating the opening of our Virginia Beach academy will be the weekend of May 18th. For anniversary details, click here.

VCU Student Batizado 2011
This coming weekend (Nov. 18-19), we will be holding our second VCU Student batizado. We will be having an open roda on Friday and workshops on Saturday. For more detailed information, click here.

Congratulations to all the capoeiristas who received their new cordão at the batizado this weekend!
We'd also like to thank Mestre Canguru, Mestre Espirro Mirrim, Mestre Paulo Batuta, Contra Mestre Jeromin, Professor Molejo, Professor Cebolinha, Professor Neguinho, and Instructor Costela for coming to support our event. And, of course, thanks to all the visiting capoeiristas, friends, and family. We hope you all had as much fun as we did.
